Posture has actually become controversial in regards to its importance in pain and dysfunction. Is there really a 'perfect posture'? And does it matter? While we, at Core Physio, believe that having a variety of postures is key, we also believe that there is 'optimal alignment' in which muscels and joints will function. This, in turn, contributes to optimal movement and health of joints, optimal breathing patterns, and optimal muscle recruitment, or muscle relaxation, for that matter!
Think of a car that is out of alignment, sustained in a fixed 'posture', and the uneven wear & strain on its parts overtime!
Think you might have an issue like this? Let Core Physio do an assessment and work towards getting things 'realigned'!
